I am excited that so many of you have such well developed web pages - they look great! For many of you, now it's really just a matter of tweaking them, updating them, and exploring new ways to showcase student work online.
For those of you who don't yet have a classroom web page, you're in luck because this year we have two great new tools that you can use to easily create a page. Our whole district will be moving over to a web portal called SharpSchool to host our school and district sites. SharpSchool has an easy classroom web page template that you can use to get started. Or, you can try out Google's Blogger. Blogger is fun and easy and will expand and grow as you become more proficient in making your web page a showcase for student projects.
Regardless of what format you choose, remember that having a classroom web page is a powerful tool for communicating with parents, highlighting student work and promoting digital literacy. It is also a truly vital tool for classroom management as you integrate technology into your curriculum.
So, have fun! I can't wait to see your websites unfold!
