Fisher Mitchell Staff Meeting 11/4/13

The move to mobile devices is a big and exciting one!  The challenge is not so much in finding apps, but in finding the right app for your students.

So, instead of giving you specific apps to try, I am hoping to point you in the direction of some resources that will help you find just what you're looking for.

Appitic: App lists for education as curated by Apple Distinguished Educators.

Auburn Advantage2014 Apps by Literacy Target (this is geared towards younger learners, but some apps will still be applicable).

Canby School District Top Apps: Apps reviewed by educators with grade level, Bloom's level and price.

Common Sense Media App Reviews: Allows you to search by age, subject and skill.

Eric Sailers' Review of Apps for SPED: Organized by subject (speech and language, reading, writing, math, etc.)

iEAR: App reviews by educators.

Using iPads for Content Creation: A list generated by Maine educators.

Local (and not so local) recommendations: A random, but awesome, list of apps as recommended by a variety of teachers.
