Digital Story Telling - Web Wednesday 11/3/10

What is digital storytelling?  Why is it such an exciting medium for kids?

Digital storytelling is simply a way of sharing stories online.  Some digital stories include photographs, others include illustrations.  Some include text, others include audio.   There are many different ways to create digital stories, but in every case, kids will have the opportunity to share their stories with friends, family, and peers all over the world.

Today we’re going to explore several different ways of making digital stories: Five Card FlickrStoryBird, Zooburst, and Tikatok.  Another great option for those of you who have iPhones or iPads is the International Children’s Digital Library StoryKit.
